Knife River Indian Villages
Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site takes you back to experience the lives of Native Americans on the Northern Plains. Displays include artifacts, a reconstructed earthlodge and the site of Sakakawea’s village.
Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site is located off of County Road 37 a half-mile north of Stanton, N.D. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the rest of the year. The site is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. There is no admission
